Gethsemane offers a great variety of Christian Education classes and Bible studies. People are encouraged to discover God's grace and direction so that they may grow in faith.
New Members Class is a course especially designed for those who are new worshipers in our congregation and would like to examine the basics of Christian faith with a Lutheran lifestyle. Please contact the Gethsemane office at 614-885-4319 for information on scheduled classes.
Adult Forum provides a wide ranging examination of timely topics for adult Christians and draws upon the resources of Gethsemane's lay leaders, pastors, Trinity Lutheran Seminary faculty and community experts. This class meets on Sunday mornings at 10:10 a.m. throughout the year in the Great Hall
Sunday Bible Study meets at 10:10 a.m each week throughout the year in the library. Lay leaders use different resource materials to explore the Bible.
Parents of young children meet as a small group every Sunday at 10:15 during the school year. Study guide is "Raising Faithful Preschoolers."
Men's Breakfast meets the second Saturday of the month for breakfast and study at 8:00 a.m. They meet at Wesley Glen for the buffet.
Women's Saturday Bible Study meets the third Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m. and uses the magazine, "Lutheran Woman Today" as their study guide. They meet in the church conference room.
Women's Monday Bible Study meets weekly at 7:30 a.m. on Monday mornings and uses "Daily Discipleship"as their study guide. They meet at La Chatelaine in downtown Worthington.
Faith in the Workplace meets the first Friday of the month at 7:00 a.m. at the Olentangy Bob Evans to discuss the dilemmas in the workplace that challenge our ability to act according to our Christian faith
LentenSoup & Study meets at 6:00 p.m. for a soup supper and study on the Wednesdays throughout Lent. Presentations are by either a guest speaker, video series or one of GethsemaneÕs pastors.
