At Gethsemane, a variety of events and activities are sponsored each year to encourage fellowship and friendliness. Our offerings vary yearly. See our current events page for upcoming events.

Past events include:

Family Game Nights were held on Saturday evenings in January and March of 2006. Members of all ages gathered in the Great Hall, bringing a board or card game to play and a favorite snack to share.
A Barbeque Luncheon was held in early June to introduce and welcome the newest members to the Gethsemane family, and to break in the grills for the summer BBQ season! Attendees brought their own meat to grill, and a salad, side dish or dessert to share.
What goes better with the hot days of summer than ice cream?! Late July saw Gethsemane members lining up outside after a Sunday worship service for a dessert-before-dinner, make-it-yourself Sundae Bar. For this second annual Ice Cream Social, everyone brought a half gallon of their favorite ice cream to share; a wide variety of fruits, toppings and syrups were provided.
Early September brings the return of the two service Sunday Worship Schedule, and a new Sunday School year. To kick off the new educational year, a pot-luck luncheon is held in the Great Hall with a “Welcome Home” theme. Members will have the opportunity to share “what I did on my summer vacation” with the other attendees!
For golf aficionados, a Fall Golf Outing is planned on October 8th. The competition is a 4-team best ball scramble.
Crisp, cool Autumn weather is the perfect time for a hayride and square dance. Gethsemane has just that planned for October 15^th at the Lutheran Memorial Camp (map). Members and guests of all ages are invited to join in the old-fashioned fun. Sign-up is at Gethsemane, or call the main office and provide your information.
Early December brings soft white snowfalls…and Christmas Caroling! We’ll gather at the church on a Saturday afternoon to grab our songbooks, “tune-up” our voices, and head out for caroling. Afterwards, we’ll go back to the church to warm up with hot chocolate!
