Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio provides food at the Champion Avenue Food Pantry for people in need. Groups from Gethsemane stock shelves and assist the families in selecting food for balanced meals. We also regularly collect food and funds for the Food Pantry.
Gethsemane members help on site at the Food Pantry one week during both July and August. They stock pantry shelves with donated food and help families collect food items when they come to the pantry. Look for a sign up sheet during the summer months if you are interested. We also collect non-perishable food year round for the pantry. Volunteers are occasionally needed to deliver donated goods to the Champion Avenue site. If you would like more information about volunteering at the food pantry, contact the Mission and Ministry Committee.
