Gethsemane Care & Small Group Ministry

Care Groups meet regularly for support, study, service and friendship. Each group is self-led and chooses its own topics for study. The groups provide a personal connection with other church members, through which all may experience the personal support and care of the church community.

Health Ministry Team is a group of Gethsemane volunteers who visit the homebound and take communion to them on a regular basis. They also provide information on good health through a partnership with Grant/Riverside Hospitals.

LSS Food Pantry Volunteers are needed a few times a year to help serve clients at one of the Lutheran Social Services Food Pantries. Hours are weekdays, 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Nursing Home Devotions are led by Gethsemane members at the Laurels of Worthington on Sunday mornings. Large print hymnals are provided and also audio tapes of favorite hymns.

Prayer Chain is a group of people who participate in a “phone tree” to pray for those in need.
