Vicar Carl Bjork, Intern
Carl K. Bjork III attended Carthage College (Kenosha, Wisconsin) and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. He currently attends Trinity Lutheran Seminary (Columbus, Ohio) and is working towards a Master of Divinity in general studies. He is from the North/West Lower Michigan synod and his home congregation is Trinity Lutheran Church (Midland, Michigan). Carl has had field education experiences at Groveport Zion Lutheran Church (Groveport, Ohio), First English Lutheran Church (Columbus, Ohio), and Nationwide Children’s Hospital (Columbus, Ohio). He has worked for Summer Seminary Sampler as a Director’s Assistant and convened the Task Force on Racial Reconciliation while at seminary. He has focused his study on human sexuality and inner city ministry and is interested in the social, cultural, and racial dynamics of the church and society.
