Joel became the Children’s Ministry Assistant in September 2017. A recent member of the ELCA (2015), he enjoys learning about the Lutheran faith tradition alongside the children and youth at Gethsemane, and is committed to making faith formation meaningful and engaging for people of all ages. Having graduated from Methodist Theological School in Ohio in 2017 with a Master of Divinity, Joel is currently working through the ELCA candidacy process. He loves playing music, reading, discussing deep questions of faith and life, talking about nerdy Bible stuff, and taking walks with his spouse, Anna.
