The Problem of Evil and the Christian Faith with Rev. Dr. Jim Childs: This is an open forum in which we explore questions like these with one another: What is Evil? How do you experience it? When you say something is evil, what do you mean? What are the particular evils of our time? Can we talk about natural disasters as part of the evil in this world? What is the relationship between sin and evil? We will look at ways Christians and theologians have tried to answer the “theodicy” question of why there is evil in the world created by a loving and all-powerful God. A related question we could take up is “Why are some saved, no others?” Come ready to share. All thoughts and questions are valuable to the experience we have together.
