Blood Drive
October 19th, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

The American Red Cross is currently experiencing an emergency blood shortage. Over the last 20 years, the number of people donating blood through the Red Cross has fallen by about 40%. Heat has impacted almost 100 blood drives in July this year in nearly every state where the Red Cross collects blood - compounding other traditional seasonal obstacles to blood donation, such as travel and summer activities. The Red Cross is working with hospitals round the clock to meet the blood needs of patients but can’t do it alone.

Gethsemane’s Health Ministry Team normally hosts two Red Cross blood drives each year - one each spring and fall. Our fall drive is scheduled for Saturday, October 19th from 9:00AM until 2:00PM. You can sign up online now by going to www.redcrossblood.org and enter the GLC code. As we get closer to the date, Pam Seidelmann will make herself available after the church services to assist anyone to sign up that may desire help.

Please consider signing up to make a blood donation. Let’s do our part in helping to replenish the national blood supply. Questions, or desiring to volunteer? - Contact Pam Seidelmann.
