Gethsemane will serve dinner at the Faith Mission Community Kitchen, 245 N. Grant Ave., on Friday Dec. 13. We need six servers from about 5:00 until 7:30. Also, we need desserts such as cookies and brownies prepared and left in the upstairs kitchen by noon of that day. Please sign up for either at the Welcome Center.
Meet in the Great Hall after worship to get into costume. Then, we'll read and enact the Christmas story in the sanctuary. Those who don’t want to get into costumes can decorate the sanctuary for Christmas.
Carolers and cookies needed! Meet downstairs by the Play & Learn kitchen at 10:45am to carpool to the caroling stops. Pizza will be available upon return to the church. Even if you can't join us caroling, feel free to bring a plate of cookies or holiday goodies to share with our homebound members.
The Gethsemane Book Group will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 7:00pm in the library to discuss the book The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane by Lisa See. Sharon Walton is the discussion leader. All are welcome to join the group in the church library. A list of future books is available from Eric Walton.
