Youth & Family Ministry Coordinator
Ben Buss began as Youth and Family Ministry Coordinator at GLC on July 27, 2022. Prior to GLC, he has been a high school youth group co-leader, confirmation teacher, camp counselor at Camp Mowana, and Lutheran Campus Minister at George Mason University in northern Virginia. At his previous congregation, he was a high school youth group co-leader and confirmation teacher, served on council, hosted a weekly small group, and was a leader of several ministries including the technology team, college care package ministry, and meal ministry to Jacob's Porch. During high school and college he was very involved with the Lutheran Youth Organization, the Lutheran Student Movement, and the University Lutheran Chapel and Student Center at the Ohio State University (now known as Jacob’s Porch). He looks forward to encouraging faith formation and community building for our youth and families. He has a BS & MS in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University. Go Buckeyes! He plays guitar & drums and his hobbies include board games, woodworking, and trying new things. Ben is married to Sister Kriss Buss, a rostered Deacon in the ELCA called to serve as a chaplain at the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville. They live with their greyhounds, Harmony & Jessie.
