Backpacks for Food Pantry Childern

Here we go again… school begins in about one month!  We want to equip our Food Pantry children for a successful year. If you would like to participate in this effort, there are a couple of options:

1) You can “adopt a child” and purchase a backpack and the needed supplies, OR

2) You can contribute money and one of our volunteers will shop for you, purchasing the needed items.

Either sign up in the narthex or phone the church office (614-885-4319). If you choose to “adopt a child,” we will forward you a child’s name and a list of recommended supplies. To contribute money to this effort, please place cash or check in an envelope provided and in the collection jug in the narthex by August 2nd. Backpacks and supplies need to be at the church by Sunday, August 9th. Last year Gethsemane members provided backpacks and supplies to 59 children! Thank you for your support! The 2026 Sales Tax Holiday is August 7, 12:00 a.m. – August 9, 11:59 p.m. on school supplies less than $20 per item.
