Worship – Hallelujah Sunday
April 12 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

Many American churches are resurrecting an old Easter custom begun by the early Greek Christians of celebrating on the Sunday after Easter. For centuries in all Christian faith traditions, the week following Easter Sunday was observed by the faithful as “days of joy and laughter” with parties and picnics to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection. Here at Gethsemane, we are now going to call it Hallelujah Sunday and we will celebrate by ringing a bell or other noise maker every time we hear Hallelujah said or sung in worship. This will all take place on Sunday, Apr. 12, at 9:30 am, so bring a bell or a noise maker to worship with you.
